Teaching and Coaching

Children's Shakespeare Theatre

World Festival of Children's Theatre

I founded this company to teach kids about the joys of Shakespeare's language and stories. Ran all rehearsals and productions for the first 10 years until I was joined by additional staff. I taught structure of the verse, elements of rhetoric, and history along with stage combat, period dance and general acting techniques. At its largest, the company comprised 80 children.

I directed a touring show of As You Like It with ten kids aged 10-13. We were chosen to represent the entire USA! Joined other casts from around the world in Stratford, ON in June of 2016.

Coaching Actors

I coach actors of all ages for auditions for theatre conservatories and acting companies. Email me for rates and availability. See testimonials from actors who love my teaching style.

Local Schools

I taught enrichment workshops in schools all over NY for teachers and students. Topics included individual plays as well as specialized topics like Elizabethan dance, Shakespeare's Life and Times, sonnets, and basic stage combat.

Teaching the Public

I've led pre-show discussions with patrons as well as talk-backs with actors. I prepared all synopses and program notes for 65 productions.

Conferences / Competitions

I have presented workshops at professional conferences: Britgrad and Shakespeare Theatre Association. I was a judge for the annual Shakespeare Competition with the English Speaking Union. I participated in a panel on "Women in the Arts" for the Valley Cottage Library.
